FROM PERFORMANCE

TO PRACTICE.

I grew up competing as a national-level gymnast, where movement meant discipline, precision and progression. My path into Pilates, however, was anything but linear.

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, followed by a master’s degree, before moving across the world to Australia to pursue a PhD. After returning to Toronto, I went on to complete postdoctoral research. That research background still shapes the way I think — analytically, with curiosity, and with an appreciation for how differently every body responds.

Despite the seemingly winding path, movement has always been the common thread. Years after gymnastics, Pilates gave me a different lens on strength, one that values control, awareness and longevity as much as performance.

Today, my teaching is informed by both that scientific background and years of movement experience. I’ve taught group and one-to-one Pilates and worked alongside physiotherapists with clients returning to movement, adapting the work to the individual in front of me rather than forcing the body into a fixed template.

I also have a particular interest in supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum and the transition back to exercise with thoughtful, individualized movement.

Precision, progression, and individual attention are at the centre of my teaching.
No two bodies, or stages of life, are the same, so no two sessions need to be either.
